Gold Coast Piazza

One of the key projects I completed this year involved redesigning a series of websites for Sino Group’s Gold Coast properties. The first to launch was Gold Coast Piazza, with the Main Site and Residence websites planned to follow in the coming months.

The design direction aimed to create a welcoming, hospitality-led experience while maintaining a clear corporate and professional aesthetic.


Overview

We refreshed the website’s visual design to better support key user goals for Gold Coast Piazza helping visitors find places to eat and shop, engage with promotions and events, and access transportation information.

To inform the redesign, we conducted a field study and interviewed mall shoppers to understand how they plan visits, what they expect from the website, and how images and information influence their decisions.

The findings showed that users rely heavily on mobile, expect rich visual content, and need clear mapping tools and complete details (e.g. hours, locations, and contacts). We addressed this through a fast-loading single-page experience designed for mobile pinch-zoom interactions.
